Merida and Caceres, Spain

Tayla's boyfriend's uncle (Juan) lives in Spain, so we decided to take a visit. We left early Saturday morning after partying Friday night...I was so tired! We caught a train from Granada to Sevilla which was about 3 hours.

Juan and his family picked us up from the train station. From there he drove us to Merida which is about an 1hr45min drive. We stopped there to visit the Teatro Romano (basically the remains of an old Theater). It was very beautiful an interesting, but it was so hot, that it was hard to enjoy it. So we got some ice cream and got back in the car to head to their home in Caceres which was an hour drive away.

When we finally got to their home, Juan gave us a tour of the house. There was paintings EVERYWHERE! You couldn't even see the walls, because every was was covered in expensive paintings. It was interesting to say the least. After that we used his calling card to call our fam and friends to check in. Then we showered and napped. Then we woke up to watch the Spain against Paraguay game. And Spain won, so we went out to celebrate. People were cheering and honking in the streets. We had Chinese food and it was good. After that we took a visit to Juan's dental office, called Very Dent's (http://www.verydents.com/). He is a very successful dentist and owns a few clinics. The clinic we visited was very nice and was also covered in paintings like his home. He also had top of the line memory foam seats which I tried out LOL. And he even gave Tayla and I goody bags filled with toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, etc :) After that we went back to their home and went to sleep. The next morning we had to get up bright and early for our long trip back to Granada. We overslept a little and barely made it to the train on time, Juan even got pulled over by the police, by speeding to get us there :(. Anyways, we took the train from Caceres to Sevilla and then to Sevilla to Granada. We were so worn out from traveling when we got back.
